Grade 11 Spanish Project

Academic #2

This Spanish project is to write a storybook for kids in Spanish, with illustrations. My initial idea was to combine fairytale with some components of a sci-fi, but it turned out with nothing to do with a fairytale.

My story is about a street artist who painted a purple dragon on a wall. The dragon looks very realistic, except the fact that the eyes of the dragon are unfinished. One day a girl, who sees the dragon everyday on her way to school, comes up to the painter and asks why he doesn’t paint the eyes, and he replies that the dragon is so realistic that he fears it would convert into a real dragon. He then tells her that he actually has seen this kind of purple dragon before. Several days later, another painter painted the eyes on the dragon, the wall then cracks and the painting transforms into a real dragon.
